Career Opportunity: Fire Alarm Technician
Company Overview: Four Alarm, a dynamic and expanding organization in the fire safety industry, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. We specialize in providing top-notch inspection, maintenance, and repair services for fire alarm systems. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated professional to contribute to our success.
Responsibilities: As a Fire Alarm Technician at Four Alarm, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting Power-Up, Programming, Verification, and Inspection of fire alarm systems.
- Generating electronic reports and ensuring timely submission of inspection reports.
- Providing technical support to customers as required.
- Delivering operational training to end-users.
- Ensuring a positive customer experience with Four Alarm.
- Reading and comprehending engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.
Requirements and Skills: To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- 1+ years of experience as a Service Technician in the Fire Alarm industry or relevant experience as an Electrician.
- Valid Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration OR Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate or equivalent qualification (red seal).
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, industry-standard testing equipment, electrical meters, and elevating devices (ladders).
- Capability to lift equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
- Proficiency in climbing ladders and scaffolding.
- Possession of a valid Class 5 or better motor vehicle license with a clean record.
- Efficient navigation skills in the City and surrounding areas, as jobs are electronically dispatched with mapping abilities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications and the Windows operating system (specific computer training will be provided after hiring).
- Knowledge of Fire-Lite, Maple Armor, Notifier, Simplex, EST (Edwards), Mircom, and Siemens systems is an asset (field and system training will be provided after hiring).
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- $36.00 to $42.00 / hour – Commensurate with experience
